About
Hello and thanks for your visit to my Blog Site, the purpose of which is to enable me to update you regularly with what’s going on in the different areas of my world – particularly in the food department.
I am a half-owner of Stonetime UK Ltd with my wife Roz. Together we run a successful business from our factory and new showroom at Whitelands Farm in Bottisham, Cambridge where we mainly manufacture and install high quality granite kitchen work tops. (See the Stonetime page for more info).
Our new showroom, which is called “Cook’s Barn”, is set out and equipped in such a way that it lends itself to the hosting of events, seminars, meetings and cookery classes. This enables me to indulge my passion for cooking, eating good food, tasting fine wines and meeting new and interesting people. (Check out the Cook’s Barn section).
I’ve always been a food-lover and love trying new and interesting things but my favourite national cuisine by far is Burmese. I admit I’m slightly biased because both my parents were from Burma and I have been eating Burmese food for as long as I can remember. Having said that, I continually compare it with everything else I eat and it still comes out on top. Yes I would rather have a bacon sarnie than Mohingar (isn’t Google wonderful?) for breakfast but I was talking in context. (See the Burmese Cuisine page for more info).
Now that I’ve reached a “sensible” age, my attention has has been drawn to the subjects of health and longevity so, although I have no intention of giving up meat, chocolate, beer or wine, I am trying to bring a measure of moderation into my life coupled with more exercise. I find it difficult to imagine life without meat but I know it can exist in between meat! (More of that on the Thought For Food page)
I am in the process of building this site so apologies if it has that incomplete feel about it. Hopefully you will become a regular visitor and watch it develop and will get some real benefits from its pages.
Bye for now.
Chris Eadon (alias Crispy Chris – thanks to my dear wife Roz )
